While these foods won’t mean you lose twenty pounds overnight, it can be helpful to include them in your regular diet. Examples of metabolism-boosting foods include green tea, spicy foods (cayenne pepper), and high-protein foods (cottage cheese). Getting Enough Sleep.- Getting eight hours of restful sleep every night is directly tied to your weight control. When we’re overtired, we tend to indulge in unhealthy foods and skip workouts. Additionally, your body needs proper sleep to recover, stay energized, and maintain a healthy metabolism.
